We Also Offer Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleaning for Pets
Lake Worth Animal Hospital also offers a non-anesthetic dental procedure, a dental cleaning for your pet that is performed without anesthesia. Your pet is gently restrained using gentle holds that ensures your pet’s safety throughout the dental procedure. Sterile equipment is used and our veterinarians are standing by in case of an emergency. We are also able to prescribe an antibiotic in case your pet needs one after the non-anesthetic dental procedure.

Our veterinarians can explain the difference to you during your pet’s wellness exam and help you decide whether a non-anesthetic treatment plan meets your pet’s dental needs.
If your pet is exhibiting dental disease, if your pet shows medically compromised teeth or gums, or if we need to obtain baseline information through dental x-rays, a traditional anesthetic dental may be more appropriate for your pet.
Any dental cleaning is a medical procedure and must be performed by a highly trained technician, under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. The risk of having your pet’s teeth cleaned by an uneducated layperson with little or no formal training, and outside of our veterinary hospital, could be hazardous and even fatal for your pet.
